About the Funding Scheme
The Education Bureau has allocated HKD 2 billion from the Quality Education Fund to launch the 'AI for Education' Funding Scheme, aiming to achieve 'AI for ALL subjects' in schools.
Approved Uses of Funding
- 1Purchase/subscribe/rent AI teaching software and platforms
- 2Purchase AI teaching hardware and devices
- 3Subscribe to AI teaching and learning resources
- 4Develop school-based AI applications
- 5Fund student AI literacy activities
School Commitments
- Include 'AI-powered Education' in school development plan
- Implement AI-assisted teaching in at least 3 subjects (min. 2 levels each)
- Conduct at least 3 AI teaching demonstration lessons
- Hold at least 3 AI teaching experience sharing sessions
- Organize at least 2 student AI literacy activities
